Plot. "This is the story of Frank, set during the early years of the 20th century, captain of a small boat known as La Quila. The man agrees to accompany into the wilderness of the Amazon jungle two English explorers, scientist Lily Houghton and her brother McGregor. The pair is in search of a mythical tree that possesses extraordinary healing properties: the Tree of Life. The discovery of the shrub could change the future of medicine and save the fate of humanity. The group will have to contend not only with the dangers that the jungle hides, its true inhabitants, the wild animals, but also with another rival German expedition, ruthless and unscrupulous. La scoperta dell'arbusto potrebbe cambiare il futuro della medicina e salvare le sorti dell’umanità. Il gruppo dovrà vedersela non solo con i pericoli che la giungla nasconde, i suoi veri abitanti, gli animali selvatici, ma anche con un'altra spedizione rivale tedesca, spietata e senza alcuno scrupolo.
