Personal data subject to processing

1.1 Navigation data – log files The computer systems and applications dedicated to the operation of this website detect, in the course of their normal operation, certain data (the transmission of which is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols) not associated with directly identifiable Users. The data collected include the IP addresses and domain names of the computers used by Users who connect to the site, the addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters regarding the operating system and the computer environment used by the User. These data are processed, for the time strictly necessary, for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its regular operation.

1.2. Data provided voluntarily by the user The voluntary and explicit sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated in the different access channels of this site and the filling in of the specifically prepared “formats” (masks) entail the subsequent acquisition of the address and data of the sender/user, necessary to respond to the instances produced and/or provide the requested service. Specific summary information will be reported or displayed on the pages of the site prepared for particular services on request.

1.3. Third party data voluntarily provided by Users In the use of particular services, there may be a processing of personal data of third parties, communicated to EDI by the User. With respect to these hypotheses, the User acts as autonomous data controller, assuming all legal obligations and responsibilities. In this sense, the User confers on the point the widest indemnity with respect to any dispute, claim, request for compensation for damages from processing that may be received by the Data Controller from third parties, whose personal data have been processed through His use of the services of the Site in violation of the applicable data protection regulations. In any case, if the User provides or otherwise processes personal data of third parties in the use of the Site, he guarantees as of now – assuming all related responsibility – that this particular hypothesis of processing is based on the prior acquisition – by the User – of the third party’s consent to the processing of the information concerning him.

1.4. Cookies Cookies are small text files that sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored and then transmitted back to the same sites on the next visit. They are used for different purposes: performing computer authentication, monitoring sessions, storing information about specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, storing preferences, etc. Among the categories of “cookies” we distinguish the so-called “technical cookies” that serve to enable secure navigation on the site or to provide a service requested by the user. They are not used for any further purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner. EDI’s website uses exclusively session cookies (which are therefore not stored persistently on the user’s computer and vanish when the browser is closed) and are classifiable among the technical cookies as defined above. Their use is strictly limited to certain pages for the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable secure and efficient exploration of the site. EDI’s site does not acquire any personal data of users. Cookies are not used for the transmission of personal information, nor are so-called “persistent cookies” of any kind, i.e., systems for tracking users.
