Plot. In Milan, people with very different histories whose existences are, in an invisible way, governed by money: so much, so little, stolen, earned, exhibited, hidden, sometimes intangible. Money circulates from one story to another, from one person to another. Ugo is an established banker, an intelligent, strong-willed, and melancholic who operates illicitly. Rita, a captain of the Guardia di Finanza, is a woman strong-willed and sensitive who investigates him. Surrounding them are other characters, models and pensioners, prostitutes and murderers, with their weaknesses and violence, with their wickedness and goodness, with their contradictions. Rita, Ugo and the others meet, clash, love and hate each other, united and divided, apart from money, by the 'intensity of their feelings. Their stories intertwine to finally converge in one place, in one moment, and there the characters confront life and death while the city around them watches...
